Enough is enough

September 19, 2018
Fort Myers Beach Bulletin, Fort Myers Beach Observer

To the editor:

The law of the land easy enough to follow since it's in print in our Town's Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code, written when Fort Myers Beach voted to incorporate after the Diamondhead Resort was granted so much from Lee County.

We had no control over that resort, but we do over the proposed Margaritaville project.

Just follow the code.

The TPI development did not follow the code and the town council went along with them.

This has to stop.

I am not against development-as long as it is controlled by our Town's laws.

I have lived on Fort Myers Beach since 1958, buying our house on Primo Drive in 1977.

I have never voiced an opinion as to people moving to our little paradise. I couldn't blame them for enjoying the same wonderful island as I have.

But enough is enough.

Many of you agree with me. I have gotten many, many at-a-boys and positive comments!

Many are concerned with the adverse conditions this huge development will, not might, will come.

Traffic is already a problem, this will enhance it.

Height and density are completely out of control.

Those of you who came to the Town Council meetings know how I feel about Fort Myers Beach and the TPI development.

All of my three minute talks are public record and can be accessed very easily.

I feel very strongly about this situation and am not afraid to voice my concerns.
