Fort Myers Beach summer camps registration

Bay Oaks:

Open to children ages 6 to 13. Must be 6 years old on or before Sept. 1. Week-long summer camp sessions from June 4 through Aug. 3., camp hours are 7:30 a.m.to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Activities include swim lessons and pool days, kayaking, field trips, arts and crafts and more. Cost is $75 per week per child for Bay Oaks members or $100 per week per child for non-members. There is a discount when paid in full or when registering three or more campers. Cost includes all field trips, activities, a camp shire and lunches and snacks. Call 765-4222 for more information.

Sailing Camp at The Mound House:

Open to ages 8 to 11. One week sailing camp will be held at the Mound House and instructed by Edison Sailing Center June 3 - 8. Students must be able to swim and have a personal flotation device that fits. Students will get to use a Optimist Pram for one week while learning the fundamentals of sailing or building on skills as well has learning nautical information, basic knot tying and other marine skills. Taught by USSailing certified instructors and junior instructors. Cost is $200 and space is limited.

Ostego Bay Foundation Marine Science Center

Open to children ages kindergarten to 16 years old. Sea Stars camp is for graduated kindergarten to third grade; Loggerheads Camp is fourth to sixth grade; Tiger Sharks camp is sixth grade and older.

The 2018 schedule is: June 4-8, Sea Stars; June 18-22, Sea Stars and Loggerheads; June 25-29, Loggerheads; July 9-13, Sea Stars and Loggerheads; July 16-20, Tiger Sharks; July 23-27 Sea Stars and Loggerheads. Camps run from 9 a.m.to 4 p.m. Activities include field trips to learn about sea grasses, mangroves, and birds as well as educational programming about the diverse environment of barrier island. All instructional material is provided. Students must bring their own lunches. Cost is $275 per camper. Registration forms can be found at ostegobay.org. Call 765-8101 for more information.
